be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to
separate the adults of some species.

Alder.
Lifestage data
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on underside of leaf. Larva forms a large mine,
25mm from the midrib to the edge of the leaf. Pupates in an off white
cocoon within the mine.
